From the Book ‘The One Thing’

There are days when I have this urge to do a lot of things.
I feel overwhelmed. It gets me all anxious.
And, from the conversations I’ve had with my friends, I know this is something most of us feel. Maybe, You feel this too.
Today, I’ll share a question. This question will make everything clear for you.
The Question
“What’s the one thing I can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?”
Write that down on your desk-top. Write that down on your diary. Embed that in your head.
I’ve shared the most important highlight from the book “The One Thing” by Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan.
They call it the focusing question. It’s simple. And powerful. It helps you answer big-picture questions and short-term questions.
It helps you find your one thing. And, one thing to achieve that one thing.
When you break this question you cut the crap and get more clear.
/What’s the one thing I can do / such that by doing it / everything else will be easier or unnecessary? /
If you’ve got a difficult task, ask this question and the task will get easier. If you’ve got impossible goals, ask this question and you see your goals coming closer.
Now. Keep your phone down. If you’re reading this on a laptop, close that lid.
And, ask: What’s the one thing I can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?
Please let me know how it goes, I’ll be waiting.
